JAAM Publishing Collective Book Launch
The JAAM Publishing Collective came out to play for the first time in a long time at the launch of JAAM 31 on Friday 15 November at 19 Tory. We hadn’t had a big public launch for JAAM – which has published a selection of poetry and prose each year for the past 18 years – for ages and it was really lovely to gather together the Wellington-based contributors and have a celebration. It was nice to put some faces to names, and also people could put our faces to our names. JAAM has been quite an anonymous work sometimes and it was good to connect with some of our community. The biggest treat was having some readings from a few of the wonderful writers whose work is in JAAM – Helen Heath, Tim Jones, Pip Adam, Sandi Sartorelli, Lucy Kirton, Chris Tse and Emma Barnes. Big thanks to the Concerned Citizens Collective for hosting us in their fabulous space.
